"Le Sabot" is a privately owned chalet completely refurbished during summer 2000. It is well positioned, situated in the beautiful Vallee de La Manche, 2 kilometres from the centre of Morzine, only 600 metres from the Nyon cable car which quickly links you up with Morzine and Les Gets ski areas. The ski bus stops right outside the chalet. Or we are a 5 minute drive from the Prodains lifts, which give the fastest access to the Avoriaz ski area, it provides a rare combination of superb views and easy access.  Ideally, to get the best out of your holiday, it would be advisable to have a car as the main lifts have adjoining car parks

The Ground Floor

Bedroom

 The main entrance / boot room, with WC, washing machine and dryer. Two bedrooms, one being a double with an ensuite and full size bath. The other bedroom on this floor has 2 single beds, a set of bunkbeds and an ensuite bathroom with a full size bath and shower.

The Middle Floor

Fireplace

Overlooking the valley with stunning views of the ski slopes, this floor is completely given over to a spacious living area 45m2 with 2 large corner sofas, sofa bed, additional seating and floor cushions. A TV/VIDEO with a selection of films suitable for all ages, a playstation with a variety of games, dvd player and films, CD radio cassette, board games and of course, an open log fire made from stones taken from the river, make for a relaxing evening at the end of an exhilarating day.

A special feature of this room are the French Windows leading onto a 8 x 2 metre balcony overlooking a stream and with spectacular views of the mountains.  On the balcony is a table and 10 chairs, a fine spot for lunch or tea.

The dining area seats 12 around a large pine table. Next to this is a separate, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, gas hob, electric fan oven and a large American fridge/freezer with ice dispenser

This comprises of two bedrooms and bathrooms, one a double room with its own balcony and views of the ski slopes, with further single sofa bed and an ensuite with full size bath.  The other room has twin beds and an ensuite with a full size bath

Morzine Avoriaz

Morzine is a lively, traditional mountain town in the heart of the Portes du Soleil. 
It is a town in its own right and not just during the ski season. It has a broad range of shops, restaurants, bars and 4 nightclubs. The skiing is mostly between the trees rising from 1000m to 2400m, with off piste powder fields in the Chamossiere Valley at the top of the Nyon cablecar. The town has many activities other than skiing including an in-door ice rink and cinemas.

Avoriaz is a purpose built resort sitting at 1800m offering guaranteed snow throughout the season. It is famous for being the snowboarding capital of Europe, hosting world championship events in its dedicated snowboard park. The ski area also has huge off piste powder fields and a World Cup downhill run.
Chalet Le Sabot is positioned off the road which runs between the ski lifts of Morzine and  main access lifts to Avoriaz

The endless variety of skiing from the wonderfully scenic circuit known as "Le Grand Paradis" where, starting and finishing from Prodains lift you can ski into Switzerland and back into France in a day, still having time for a fine lunch in one of the many mountain restaurants, ensure satisfaction for the skiing parties of mixed abilities, with 650 kilometers of pistes linking 12 resorts in France and Switzerland, 60 mountain restaurants, ski schools with creche facilitities and cross country skiing at the head of Vallee De La Manche in Morzine this ski area has a lot to offer.

Getting There


You may wish to take your own car and if so, Morzine is an approximate 8 hour drive from Calais, although, 
we have found that flying with Easyjet and hiring an ordinary family car from Geneva airport can be just as cheap, and as Morzine is only a one and a quarter hour drive this can be a hassle free way of beginning your holiday. You can pre-book magnetic ski racks for the roof of your hire car. We have even negotiated a special online discount. For Car Hire Click HERE

Winter 2008/9 Prices

The Chalet has a Sunday changeover. Prices are for the whole chalet, accommodation only and includes bed linen, towels and logs for the fire. We are also currently rennovating another chalet which will be ready for this season. If you are looking for dates that are marked as booked below, please look at our other chalet, Chalet Emilie. Alternatively, please still contact us as we may be able to find other accommodation for you.
